Review: top product - wow really comfortable I had seen a review on here how tight they were so I'm not sure what's going on there but they're absolutely spot-on. I do wear glasses and they fit comfortably within the glasses or I can put the glasses a little bit over the top which it's fine absolutely spot-on the clarity is just amazing turning the volume up and down and it's so simple and there is an option for the Jack for your iPhone which I think is really good because it keeps this product very simple without going through technical buttons and data et cetera to get what you want at the end of the day it blocks out the noise but it gives you local noise if you want it I genuinely would recommend this product because it really folds down just spot on in the bag very happy with this definitely get one.

These make it easier to hear one's fellow competitors speaking but also to hear the scorer calling a kill or a miss. The Impact Sport headset is slim, light and just as comfortable to wear as my old passive set. Ordinary noises such as speech or birdsong are transmitted clearly but the sound of gunfire is muffled at least as effectively as my old ones. The volume control is easy to use and I cannot think why one would want individual control for each ear unless perhaps one's hearing had already been damaged in one ear. There is some white noise when the volume control is turned up very high but as I found the ideal setting was about one third of the maximum, this is not likely to be a problem. The order was delivered within two days of ordering. At £61.99 post free these are very competitively priced and very effective.

**Q: Is there any protection if the batteries die on you in the field/range? I.E. What happens to noises above the 82dB range with no batteries?**
A: If the batteries die or you leave them on and forget(as I have done) They will function as regular ear protection but they will lose the ability to amplify regular sounds. Basically the best part about these is the ability to hold normal or even whispered conversation and hear really quiet noises such as twigs breaking or footsteps in the snow. To restate my answer they would be great ear pro even if they were dead- Chris

**Q: Has anyone used these for mowing the lawn? Does anyone know the size of the MP3 plugin?**
A: I've used mine for yard care and with them on they block out the noise of a lawnmower, weed-eater, edger and leaf blower(with or without having the power turned on). They work great and turned on they allow you to hear what's going on around you like traffic on the street, someone trying to get your attention or a dog coming up to you. All without letting the noise of whatever lawn equipment your using bothering you or interfering. The headphone jack is 3.5mm which is your normal headphone jack size.

**Q: So the muffs have a jack so you can listen to music or connect to a radio.  Does the package come with a cord or is it a serparate buy?**
A: The package comes with a 39 inch connecting cord, with a 3.5 mm jack on both ends. These are the standard earphone jacks, and it plugs right into my ipod and the earphone jack on my Midland GXT-1000 GMRS/FRS two-way radios. I listen to music while I mow the lawn. As long as you turn on the earmuffs, but keep the volume level at its lowest, you can hear music without the microphones picking up ambient noise.

**Q: Would this work as hearing protection from gun fire? As firearms have an instant crack when fired, is this fast enough to shutoff the sound?**
A: THE SPEAKERS/MICROPHONE NEVER SHUT OFF COMPLETELY..... 
The sound that the speakers play won't go higher than 82db (ear safe) the muffs themselves reduce all outside noise by 22db 
If you're in a constantly noisy environment like loud music or constant gun shots the microphones/speakers don't ever turn off that part is confusing, in that case the sound being played stays at a constant 82db, so you can still hear things instead of all the outside sound being reduced by 22db 
When shooting targets like steel etc. you can hear the impact on the target.

I purchased these electronic ear-muffs for target shooting. I am very new to the sport and I wanted to make certain I will be able to listen to the instructor's advice and any safety instructions without having to take the ear-muffs off (thus risking having my ears unprotected when someone else would fire). I have used it once so far and it works very well. I am able to amplify my surrounding sounds and at the same time, block any loud sounds (such as gunfire). The ear-muffs seat comfortably on my head and ears and the fact that you can control them using one button only makes them very user friendly. I would recommend this product to people that are interested in blocking loud souns but still maintain an excellent awareness of their surrounding environment.
