Review: THIS IS HOW TO STOP IT BANGING. - Just received my cat and it's lovely. Apart from the arm bangs against the body and it's too loud and too jarring to leave it like that. I realised it's because the battery is new and is giving too much power. So I've just taken it out and swapped it with a battery out of the TV remote and it's waving like a dream and almost completely silent! So if yours is noisy, take a battery from something already in use and it should be fine. See video (the hissing is outside noise through the open window).

A: it would be nice if they done one what can be plugged in i have two and i love them

This Maneki Neko was bought to replace an earlier incarnation which did not wave its paw correctly. Sadly my wife threw the original cat in the bin. This one is much better, larger, and hopefully luckier. It has a smooth paw waving action producing negligible noise (about the same level of sound as the ticking of a wall clock). Construction is good for an item of this price and the battery compartment has a cover (unlike some other cats).
