Your stovetop’s new centerpiece. Introducing Caraway’s newest addition to our lineup, our Whistling Tea Kettle is our modern take on a classic kitchen essential. Each 2 quart kettle is made from stainless steel with a non-toxic ceramic coating. It is free of PTFE, PFOA, PFAs, lead, and cadmium, so you will never have to worry about any toxic run-off that is sometimes seen in other traditional kettles. Just like our best-selling Cookware and Bakeware, our whistling tea pots come designed in a variety of beautiful colors that will match any kitchen decor and fit right in with the rest of your Caraway collection. We have also included a complimentary pot holder with each of our stainless steel kettles for safer handling after use. It also makes a perfect trivet to protect your counters and tables from heat.

Review: Very good first impression - We've only had this tea kettle for a couple of days, but like it a great deal. It is solidly constructed--surprisingly heavy for its size. The design is quite striking with a dramatic shape and nice contrast between the blue ceramic and polished steel. I don't think design compromises function here. Yes, the fixed handle gets in the way of removing the lid and filling the kettle, but that's the same with the $350 British copper kettle we're replacing (after decades of service that kettle has begun to shed its lining). The solid steel handle on the Caraway gets warm, but is not uncomfortably hot after bringing 3 cups of water to a boil. (If boiling more water, it might get hot, so be careful.) The lid fits very tightly and can be hard to remove, which is the only real drawback we've discovered. I suspect that the lid will loosen a bit with use. I agree that one can pay much less for a tea kettle. But this one looks SO nice on our stove top and will probably last as long or longer than our beloved British pot.) ADDED AFTER ABOUT SIX WEEKS OF USE: We still like this teapot a great deal. The lid has loosened up a bit, making it easier to remove. There is a small amount of discoloration around the base from the gas burner, but not noticeable when looking down at the pot. We now only use the smallest burner on our stove. The handle is warm but not hot after heating three cups of water to a full boil. By all appearances, this pot will continue to work well and look great over the long term.

A: You definitely can boil any liquid in there! I haven’t tried doing that myself, but I don’t see any reason why you can’t

We've only had this tea kettle for a couple of days, but like it a great deal. It is solidly constructed--surprisingly heavy for its size. The design is quite striking with a dramatic shape and nice contrast between the blue ceramic and polished steel. I don't think design compromises function here. I was initially excited to get my hands on the Caraway 2 Quart Whistling Tea Kettle, as its sleek design and reputation for durability seemed promising. However, my experience with this kettle left me somewhat disappointed. First and foremost, the price of the Caraway kettle is quite high compared to other options on the market. While I expected to pay a premium for its attractive design, I hoped it would deliver both form and function. The kettle, with its modern and minimalist aesthetic, certainly adds a touch of sophistication to any kitchen. Its stainless steel construction gives it a substantial, high-quality feel, and the soft pastel color options are visually appealing. Unfortunately, the aesthetics are where the positives end. After just a few weeks of regular use, I began to notice discoloration on the body of the kettle. The once-gleaming surface began to show signs of wear and tear, which was disappointing considering the steep price I had paid.
