Neighbours for sure and as for the traffic - depends on how noisy it is of course and how close to it you live. What even these babies can't block out completely is bass since we, the people, not only hear bass with our ears but feel it with our bodies and car engines can produce some fairly low frequencies. You should be fine from low mid to high frequencies so you won't know about the neighbours as long as they don't throw each other at the walls which would naturally produce some bass. ;) **Q: Why SNR 5 db? Should it not be SNR 35 db?** A: Yes it should be - Typo ... **Q: I go to a church with very loud levels of live music. Will the 3M Peltor Optime III be suitable for me?** A: Technically yes - I use mine for when I go shooting at a range using military rifles; noisy would be an understatement. No problem, also you can hear normal conversation when wearing them. From a fashion standpoint - big and bulky. Horses for courses. **Q: I work in live music - how much will these cut out? It is meant to be a substitute for ear plugs. It works very, very well. The muffs are surprisingly big in size, you will look a bit weird wearing it I suppose, but I'm fine with it. For its size, it is actually pretty light, and feels really light when you're wearing it. The head band is adjustable for most people's head size, mine is pretty big (I had to buy XL bike helmets) but it still fits well with some room to spare. Will work under a helmet as well, maybe not as comfortable but it's still fine, since the head band lies flat across your head, same as the metal cables connecting the muff to the band.The sound proofing is very good, but you can still make out what others are saying, which is a plus. It's comparable to wearing a set of good ear plugs, but way more comfortable for long periods. It's circumaural, so it covers your ears entirely. The muffs press lightly but firmly on your head, creating a seal, but it's not that uncomfortable in terms of the heat and humidity, as good as it could be I guess. This is the same one u see being used by the airports as well, so ur ears are protected. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Durable with good noise protection *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 June 2025* Durable and good performing ear defenders, been used for work 5-6 days a week over 1 year and still good.
