Review: very bright and a good works torch - Last one lasted over 10 years and was used regularly at work. this one is definitely brighter and still nice and light for confined spaces. would recommend if you have dewalt batteries.

**Q: does it only use 18v batteries?**
A: Yes, the new range of XR 18v li-on batteries only.  There are various Ah rated sizes, 1.3 right up to the 5.0. As of early Nov 14 the best value seems to be 4.0Ah for approx £48 ea.

**Q: Can the LED be replaced? I looked on the Dewalt site, but could not find any information on this.**
A: The LED Cannot be replaced.The LED has a Very Long Life and should last for many years.

**Q: How much current does the led torch draw ? (so i can get an indication of how long before i need a battery recharge)**
A: I had on a charged battery use 2 days work out of constantly

**Q: What is AA battery for?**
A: There is no AA battery. Only AH which you slide on the bottom

This Torch is Amazing, One it's light 🏋️(Excuse the Pun) two it's compatible with DeWalt batteries 18v, it's Bright, distance of the beam is great two, the adjustment head is perfect to, helps to light up the working area with ease. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect if you already have an XR tool

I had an older Dewalt torch that came with a 14.4V cordless drill, but the batteries were on their way out, and a couple of drops meant I had no bulbs for it. After being unable to find new bulbs at a reasonable price, and just having bought a new XR cordless drill, I decided I might as well get one of these torches. What a good investment! Any 18V XR battery will fit it (I also bought a 1.5Ah battery) including the massive 4Ah versions that came with the drill, and with a battery clipped in it stands up nicely. The light is bright and reasonably well focused, and a metal loop means it can be hanged. The LED means that blown bulbs are a thing of the past - it should last a long time, but when it does go, I don't think it's replaceable. The only slight niggle I have with it, is that the focus of the beam cannot be changed, but apart from that it is easy to use and nicely balanced in the hand.
