I've been using it for probably a month or two now and personally haven't changed a filter yet, you can easily wash them . **Q: What age is this suitable for? Is it too big for a newborn nose?** A: I used it on my two week old baby and it worked brilliantly. First I put some saline drops in her nostrils and after a couple of minutes used the aspirator and it completely unblocked her little nose. She wasn't very happy during the process but could breathe easily straight after!
