It is useful if you have really thick radiators. But it can apply to cases also. In my case I have 2 vents getting air from the outside installed after the radiator, on the front, on the inside, so pulling air in and another 2 pushing air from the case outside one in the back and one one the top... Hope it makes sense ;) **Q: Could I run this with a 12v battery and a on of switch ? If modified maybe ?** A: It's a 12v dc fan, so it doesn't care if it gets power from a pc psu, or a battery. The fact that it can run at lower voltage to run more quietly is a nice advantage when running in a pc, but if little relevance when running in a simple 12v circuit. **Q: Can you use this fan on a intel i7 6700 (socket 1151) and what are the temps for idle and what's the temp while gaming? thanks :D** A: this is a fan, not a cooler. You need for instance NH-U12S. ## Frequently Bought Together - Noctua NF-F12 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (120mm, Brown) - Noctua NF-A14 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (140mm, Brown) - Noctua NF-S12A PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (120mm, Brown) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/48064846-noctua-nf-f12-pwm-high-performance-quiet-fan-120mm](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/48064846-noctua-nf-f12-pwm-high-performance-quiet-fan-120mm) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
