They tend to close back up enough to not worry about things falling out if you leave it at that. However, you can load stuff up and flip the belt around so that the slits are facing in (towards your body) so there is not way for anything to slide out. Hence the flipbelt name. Realize this belt is meant to be a comfortable snug around your body limiting movement of items stored inside. It can carry quite few gel packs easily so great for long distance running. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good belt, but watch the sizing *by M***K on 16 September 2025* A comfortable, lightweight belt. Seems expensive for what is, essentially a fabric tube, but this simple design should hopefully last a while as there isn't much to go wrong with it. Without zips or fasteners, the belt relies entirely on the elasticity of the fabric to hold your items in place. This makes getting the sizing absolutely crucial to avoid your items falling out. I'm a 35" waist, so thought a size L (which I look to be at the upper end of) would be the right fit. However, this proved to still have too much slack to be able to securely hold my stuff.
