Review: I've needed a quality wrench with the 'moxie'... - I've needed a quality wrench with the 'moxie' to be able to grip a tight old worn tap ceramic cartridge valve, and not 'slip' or grind away the hex nut when turning ! TADAAAAAAAHHH !! - Well worth the pittance spent on this Stanley 090950 300mm MaxSteel adjustable quality wrench !! The extra length of the wrench also gave me a lot of leverage when undoing the tap cartridge after attaching the jaws and then praying as I turned !! It was easy !! What on Earth was I doing mucking about with tools that just weren't up to it and failing time after time ?!! Phew !! - This was a lifesaver !! No more dripping tap driving us crazy !! Delivery from the retailer was spot on via Royal Mail !! Thanks ! 5 Stars for trustworthy delivery and another brilliant Stanley tool to add my growing Stanley collection !! 5 Stars !! p.s. Almost forgot - it was freepost when bought so no added postage cost !! What's not to like ?!

It is small enough to slip in my pocket and carry around, but durable enough for the toughest of jobs. It's good a good adjustable range for the kind of equipment I work with, and is able to complete 99% of tasks I put it up to. The handle is comfortable while still providing a strong grip. Anyone who has experience with working at height will know that you aren't allowed to take loose items up with you, they must be attached to you in some way. This wrench has a small loop at the bottom that allows me to attach it to my harness with ease. Would fully recommend not just to those in the A/V industry, but anyone who has an appreciation for high quality tools at a great price point!

**Q: Why isn't the maximum distance it opens to in the product description ? It's the most important aspect of it!**
A: Hi there,
Stanley felt it important enough that it has printed the following opening size info on back of packet.
300mm tool opens to 40mm
250mm to 35mm
200mm to 30mm
&150mm (this item) opens to 26mm
I hope this helps.

**Q: whats is the widest ths opens to I need something that opens up to an inch and a half or 40mm is this suitable?**
A: No sorry this will not open that wide the Stanley 090950 is the biggest at 39mm

**Q: This spanner open wide anuff to losing raidator valves?**
A: No !!! This is precisely what I bought it for but the mouth of the spanner is too narrow . 
Also , the item that I received is so poorly made that it would not be able to unscrew a tightly fitting valve even if the spanner mouth was wide enough . Read other reviews .

**Q: would it work with square bolts (freenhouse type)?**
A: if you mean square heads then yes
