All you need to do is add in a cylinder of suitable refrigerant. I was able to test and recharge all of my families cars for roughly the same price as re-charging just one of the me with a contractor. The gauges and valves are of very high build quality. This equipment will definitely save you money in the long run. Review: Make sure you test them! - Upon Initial purchase I was impressed with the item and the price. Gauges look genuine & proffessional. Nice Feel, sturdy and good materials used. Manifolds seem like they will do the job with 4000psi rating. However I have experienced several issues with these gauges. First being Gas leaks through the high side when locked off. High/low Give different PSI readings when put under the same pressure of gas. Due to the fact I couldnt get it to stop leaking gas from the high side, the knob broke off with barely any effort at all. The threads were brand new, may be worth giving them a slight oil for the first use... Overall they feel solid and provide an almost identical reading ~+/- 05psi difference between High and Low. Considering top quality gauges cost around £200, these are a very good starter set. Especially given some of the alternative options. Im a mechanic/refrigeration Engineer so can’t afford to use cheap quality tools or equipment on a daily basis. I had one or two very minor issues (cosmetic) and the seller was extremely helpful and responsive.
