I have left it outside in the rain for a few days but as soon as it dries the smell is back.** A: Mine doesn't smell or if it does I can't smell it. I have a white fur scentsicle on my tree so that is all I can smell. It is possible to clean it up using a mild bleach solution but maybe a small bowl of soda crystals or baking soda placed near the skirt might do the trick **Q: Is this a natural product with no dyes or glues? I have house rabbits and thought it would be a good addition that they could actually play with when** A: As far as we can tell it is all natural. There’s no glue and it doesn’t seem to have any dye. **Q: What’s the internal base diameter size please? I have a stand that is 57cm diameter will this fit?** A: The internal base is 55cms. **Q: Is the base big enough for a 7ft tree?** A: I have a 7ft tree with a metal base folding tree stand (resembles 2 strong coat hangers) which measure 56cm across when unfolded. These fit just right for my stand with no room for error. I am happy with the fit. The height of the basket is exactly perfect for my tree as the lower branches fall naturally to the rim without being pushed up. And I downsized to a ‘Pencil Tree’ this year. But, after putting the tree up, I wanted to see how it would look, and it’s perfect. Very good quality, reasonably expensive, but it looks like it would be something you could hand down to your children, it’s that well made. Hides the base really well, and ties the tree into surrounding furniture / wood flooring (or carpet I’d also imagine). Also stops the cats from climbing the tree - but not attempting to!
