I have recently used this sunscreen on my Italy trip and have not burnt at all. I find a little goes a long way which is good as it is an expensive product. Yes, this will absolutely give you a white cast as it is physical sunscreen, however I used this sunscreen on the beach every day, boat trips, snorkelling etc and tbh I didn't really care if it left me with a white cast as my main priority was protection from sun and that the sunscreen was reef safe. Would I use this as an every day sunscreen? No. But for a water activities, I think its brilliant and I will be re-purchasing for my next trips. Review: Generally good, but lacking in some areas. - Overview: This sunscreen is great in nearly all areas, but unfortunately falls short in one critical aspect for me, which is why I can't personally use it. As far as ingredients go, this sunscreen is excellent. It's a mineral only sunscreen and has no denatured alcohol, and the zinc particles are non-nano for those who don't like micronised zinc. I was extremely impressed that on my skin (Fitzpatrick Type 3), I don't get any white cast, and it only took me about 15 seconds to fully rub the cream in. However, I find the cream to be a bit sticky/greasy/shiny, which I personally don't mind as I have dry skin but might bother others. The one aspect that this sunscreen falls short in, is the fact that it has fragrance. It's fragranced with grapefruit oil, and has a light grapefruit scent, but unfortunately this irritates my sensitive eczema prone skin, so I can't use the product. However, even though I can't use it myself I've still given it 4 stars as that's a personal issue. The sunscreen itself definitely works, doesn't leave a white cast (for me, but deeper skin tones might get a white cast) and is very affordable, especially for mineral sunscreen. Summary: If you don't have sensitive skin/skin that reacts to fragrance, then buy this. In the US they have to declare the % of Active mineral ingredient as welll as all other ingredients and this scores the highest possible rating with the EWG. I highly rate this for broad spectrum non chemical based sunscreen that lasts! **Q: Does this sunscreen have a natural tint, or does it leave you looking like a ghost (white face :-)?** A: It is white, but I include a small amount of moisturiser when I use it and it spreads okay. The whiteness disappears quite quickly once it is on, no fragrance product. I have used it for a couple of years and am very pleased with the product. **Q: what are the ingredients?** A: The active ingredient is zinc oxide, 20%, inactive ingredients; water, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, plus numerous plant extracts and oils. On tube: 'Gives broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, no PABA, parabens, phthalates, BPA, oxybenzone, avobenzone, petroleum, dioxane or toxic chemicals. No animal testing or animal products.' It looks as if from USA but no address on tube. My personal comment 'effective, spreads well and pleasant lemony scent'. **Q: There's no list of ingredients, either here or on thinksport's website. all we know is it's 20% zinc oxide. what about the remaining 80% ?** A: You will see it says 20% (zinc oxide) in white print at the very top of the tube that is black in colour.
