Is it just a bridge or is there anything else i would need? Sorry new to all of this** A: Bridge and the app and your good to go. **Q: Is this any different than the one with the remote? Or is it just this connects to the router?** A: The ones with a remote have a select few colours to choose from whereas these lights you can choose from the full colour spectrum. You can also set the brightness of these lights. They are very similar to ones with a remote but I found it useful to be able to set the lights from my phone. You can do this even when you are not at home to make it seem like someone is home. You can also link these lights to other "friends of hue" devices such as nest. I have the next smoke alarms and thermostat so if the smoke alarm goes off the lights switch on and the boiler shuts off. A lot of it is gimic but there are lots of features that aren't available with the cheaper remote type lights. **Q: Will this work with the newer hue 2.0 hub.** A: Hi Olly - not sure as I am running it off the Echo Plus. I should think so though - or there should be an update to make sure they do work together? Might be a question for a Philips forum? Thanks **Q: Is it possible to get a deep blue on the bloom? However, what you do get are quality devices that are easily controlled from your phone or tablet. We use this as a bedside table lamp - plenty bright enough to read by. Do we use the colour change facility often? No, but move the lamp elsewhere in the house, and we know that we can.
