These brushes have a sharper tip than most round brushes but I like that about them. I think that they will keep their points and over all shape for quite some time. I think this set has nice spring and is good bang for the buck **Q: Would these brushes work well for suminagashi?** A: I don’t see why these brushes wouldn’t work for Suminagahsi. They’re surprisingly decent brushes for the price, a really great array of sizes, have nice tips to them and hold a fair amount of liquid. Haven’t had any hairs drop into my paintings. I’ve done the marbling technique but that was before I bought these particular brushes. Are you using Suminagshai inks? When using those inks I just used basic watercolor brushes and they achieved the patterns I was looking for. So there’s no reason these shouldn’t work for you.
