For characters you have Naruto, a hyperactive kid who seeks attention by playing pranks on his teachers in ninja school. Then you have Sasuke, an emo who is obsessed with power. They have a strong rivalry, and that's were their teammate Sakura comes in. She has a crush on Sasuke, but still end up in the middle of their fights. Plotwise, this book does not have much, but the more you get into the series, the more the plot gets more interesting.
