The book explains characteristics of various colours - pigments used for making paints, details of various watercolours transparency and opacity and gives a hints regarding mixing paints together. The book also covers several painting techniques like blending and mixing.The pictures illustrating the book are top quality - I'm amazed how much life the author can put into her paintings, creating a convincing effect with only a few shapes.
