There is more than ample amount of padding and the construction is done well so that you don't have a gap in the middle with a flimsy ribbon holding it together. Yes, they are a little bit more money but there's no comparison to the other plain white ones I bought. They are also quite pretty and the material is soft. My dresses have been hanging and some nice blouses of been hanging and none of them have any kind of bent corners. I'm pretty picky about the hanger thing and I don't leave a lot of reviews unless it's really bad or really good and these are under the category of really good. The metal part does turn if you happen to hang some thing up a different way., I like these enough that I bought them a second time. Delivery was the next day and they came tightly packaged in their own plastic covering but then, in addition, they were in a box. Unlikely they would've been any damage.
