The DCB115, which is UK spec', will charge the 20V battery as the American's rate their batteries differently to the EU/UK to give a larger number but it is in fact a 18V battery the other difference is 20V versions are NOT imported by Dewalt into the EU so have ZERO manufacturer warranty on them.So just to recap, yes you will be fine charging American batteries with the DCB115 UK charger. **Q: Does it charge xr 18v?** A: Does this charge a dcd776 drill 18v 1.5 AH battery **Q: Does this charge the 18v 5ah battery** A: Yes.
