Counting of course and this is where this is brilliant because the children want to win and that means counting. The game itself is or has been around in various guises since pussy meant a cat and the simple way the game is played has ensured it's longevity. For small children this simplicity means that they can compete with adults - if you can call me one being a rather immature grandfather - on a level playing field. When they win against me and my wife it's a joy. Because the dice is captive it saves the tragedy of losing it or the inevitable cheating that will go on when twin boy and girl compete.
