Had hoped to clone the original hard drive onto it but found that that failed with the Acronis software despite trying different methods. In the end I used the MSI recovery software and put the operating system on this drive and the rest of the stuff on the other hard drive( which I also replaced with an 'old' ssd that I had from my previous laptop).
