I absolutely love that founder, Paul Sperry, was inspired to make the nonslip soles by carving grooves in them after watching his dog run effortlessly on ice- and subsequently inspecting his paws to reveal his secret. As I have both a passion for dogs and the sea these are clearly the shoes for me. I would recommend to anyone. Incredibly comfortable- more so than my Chathams, classic style, good quality- and amazingly only £34 (I got lucky with the price reduction on my shoe size). Bought them to replace a pair of Charles Tywritt deck shoes, that have been everywhere and have been fantastic. Hope these are as good.
