I worked out that this is because part 12 (the bracket it goes through) has to be screwed to the back of the front firebox panel (part 6) – probably obvious to anyone else! Build quality feels solid for the price, it looks great in the garden, and cleaning it afterwards is much easier than I expected. My only warning: allow yourself a couple of hours and maybe a cup of tea (or something stronger) for the assembly. To start, there was a minor issue during assembly where one of the pieces arrived slightly bent. However, I was able to reshape it without much trouble, so it didn’t affect the overall experience. Once everything was put together, the grill looked great, was sturdy, and felt very well-constructed. The design is solid, and you can tell that the materials used are durable and built to last. I’ve noticed that some other reviews are very critical of the product, and I do think many of them are a bit unfair. Some complaints were centered around faulty items or people who seemed to struggle with assembly - while those issues are unfortunate, they don’t reflect the quality of the product as a whole. It’s important to give the product a fair shot, follow the instructions carefully, and not jump to conclusions just because of a small issue. A particular point of contention in some of the negative reviews was about the patina that develops on the grill after use.
