From the manufacturer Zombicide Black Plague By Cool Mini or Not Zombicide: Black Plague is a standalone cooperative boardgame for 1 to 6 players that brings the relentless zombie-killing action of Zombicide into a brand new fantasy setting! Players control a party of survivors as they fight to rid the land of an invasion of zombies controlled by the game itself. Survivors find weapons, learn spells, battle zombies, and gain experience. The more experienced they get, the more powerful they become, but the more zombies rise to face them. 1 to 6 Players Ages 13+ Playtime 60 minutes Standalone game Each survivor in Black Plague receives a quality plastic dashboard to keep them organised. A built-in sliding arrow tracks experience gains, and plastic pegs mark wounds and indicate new skills. Finally, multiple slots hold all your cards, making the new inventory system intuitive and structured. Each card’s symbol indicates the slot where it’s used. Weapons and magic spells must be equipped in-hand. Armour must be worn on the body. Special items like extra arrows can be stashed in your backpack. Survivors have varying equipment specialisations, allowing them to equip a particular card on the body slot, and still have it instantly accessible. Black Plague brings a whole new breed of survivors to Zombicide, hailing from all walks of medieval life, and even including some fantasy races like dwarves and elves! Each of these heroes posses their own unique abilities to face the zombie horde, from familiar skills to all-new ones. The tiles create a rich and intricate medieval town. Street zones don’t spread across multiple tiles, creating lots of twisting alleys for you to try and evade the oncoming undead. And if you find one of the secret vaults, you may be able to cross the entire map a lot faster (and you may even find a couple of very powerful artifacts down there). The highly detailed survivor miniatures Black Plague comes with dozens and dozens of incredibly detailed miniatures. Survivors have detachable coloured plastic bases to help identify them, matching the colour of the pegs on your survivor dashboard. The frighteningly detailed zombies The zombie hordes shuffling around Black Plague’s alleys were raised by powerful Necromancers. When these dark masters enter the board, even more zombies spawn every round. But, instead of mindlessly chasing survivors, Necromancers will try to escape and spread more dread across the land! The rules are not super easy but there is plenty of help online. The figures are fantastically detailed. Wish I had the time to paint them. The setup is a tad time consuming but it improves a lot with practice. The box comes with everything needed to neatly store everything back when you finish playing. My partner loves the cooperative side of the game as she is not the competitive type with board games. You will end needing some considerable amount to storage space to put away the thing and all the expansions you will likely end buying.

**Q: Is this good for 2 players?**
A: Absolutely fine for 1-6 players, may require both players to use 2-3 characters but I play solo with 6 characters usually. Whole of the Guillotine Games line are the same in this way. Best game I've ever played.

A: The hero and standard zombie figures measure 34mm high

**Q: Is this the black plague game? One of the reviews suggests it might not be**
A: It is the Black Plague complete game - has everything you need - is totally stand alone - but is also compatible with  the Green Horde and expansions. If you like it I recommend getting the Green Horde as well and mixing the two sets together!

Definitely my favourite version of the game. Got a few extra characters and the replay value is really superb. The rules are not super easy but there is plenty of help online. The figures are fantastically detailed. Wish I had the time to paint them. The setup is a tad time consuming but it improves a lot with practice. The box comes with everything needed to neatly store everything back when you finish playing. My partner loves the cooperative side of the game as she is not the competitive type with board games. You will end needing some considerable amount to storage space to put away the thing and all the expansions you will likely end buying.

A good game. Can't really fault it. Very fun to play a different challenging though the rules are incredibly simple and can be picked up by anyone. The quality of the minitaures is excellent. If you are looking for a co-op miniature game that is fun for all but provides a challenge then this will be money well spent. Even at the high price tag.
