Firstly you need to change the pads after every use, and that would mean you'd have quite a bill buying pads constantly. Secondly it does not really "reach" those muscles I'd say, it is mainly for the back muscles and tummy muscles. I am no doctor though, so maybe I am wrong, but I do not see it being much use in helping with pelvic floor exercises. **Q: Why can't this be used before 37 weeks? I'd like to try it out to make sure it works - and also to help relieve 3rd trimester back pain** A: My assumption is because 37 weeks is considered full term. The tens machine simulates (?)contractions so perhaps there’s a concern it would encourage early labour if used early. For reference, I didn’t find it pleasurable to use during my contractions so you’re not missing anything. Useful but not pleasurable. **Q: What if can not reach back to put on patches** A: The tens machine is really good but would definitely work better if you have someone who can help place the patches for you.
