**Q: Can these be painted?**
A: Paint wouldn't last, but you could probably use a wood dye on the white ones, e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005940TP8

**Q: how good is the colour contrast? I already have a set where "black" and "white" are barely distinguishable and am looking to replace**
A: They are fantastic and you can tell the difference between black and white. Been using them since I got it very good.

**Q: Does this set come with a striker??**
A: No it doesn’t you have to purchase separately.

For kids it would be ideal but for adults the weight is to light and they always fly out after a hard hit. Packaging is really good but i think should rather focus on the product quality than focusing on the package quality. It is not really worth the money
