Not sure how it leaked but the paint was dry and the can still seemed quite full so I cancelled the return. Very easy to use and covers very well. I actually bought another one as I'm doing a d.i.y job at present and one can wasn't enough. If you can use it outside do so as the smells really strong if not open the windows. Would definitely use this spray paint again.
