Its not permanent ink but its definitely not washable like the "ultra clean washable" crayola markers we use usually. Wish I had known that. **Q: Does gray come in a 12 pack, too? i can't seem to find a pack of them, but i see almost every other color.** A: Thanks for asking! While our Bulk Markers come in an array of colors, grey is not available. I think they work OK for that activity, but I have only used the Mr. Sketch that most district internal supply warehouses carry for that. It ends in a pointed tip, so there is the possibility of making a thinner line if you don't press too hard.
