There's a second or two delay after plugging into my iPhone and then the picture just comes up on my HDMI monitor (provided I remember to turn the monitor on). Sound from a video plays through my TV monitor too. One guest had trouble with her iPhone saying AirPlay or something and showing the video without sound. However when she tried again by first scrolling back to the desired video (horizontal scroll below the photos in the camera app) then the control to un-silence the sound appeared and clicking that the video sound played through the TV as it had for me. We also used it to attach an external keyboard to the iPad. This also worked great. In this case we found it handy to be able to plug in power at the same time though this adapter, because we were using a light-up keyboard that draws a lot of power ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works, despite Apple's best attempts to block full functionality *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on 12 March 2023* The adapter works well, despite Apple's best attempts to block 3rd party accessories so as to force you to purchase Apple branded accessories at inflated prices.The issue was getting the adapter to simultaneously project the image and charge the IPad. After twiddling with the adapter I was able to get it to work by following this hook-up sequence: 1st connect the HDMI cable to the adapter and then connect the adapter's lightning cable to the IPad. The IPad screen will be displayed on the projector. Then, 2nd, connect the lightning cable from the IPad charger to the adapter's power port. The IPad battery indicator will now show that it is being charged.
