However, I am not African American but have very wavy curly hair and love these products. The shampoo is one of my all time favorites. A little goes a long way! **Q: Would this shampoo work good for dreads?** A: This shampoo is very sudsy and lathers excellent but because you have dreads I don't think this shampoo would be good.
