Product Description               Hikari Wheat-Germ is a highly nutritious, easily assimilated, highly digestible daily diet for koi and other pond fish, including goldfish. Developed through many years of breeding experience, this highly nutritious diet is extremely effective in cooler climates which experience a winter season. Give your koi a jump on this years show-off months, feed Hikari Wheat-Germ year round. It will have your aquatic pet looking their best while improving their fertility.                     Ingredients               Wheat-germ meal, krill meal, fish meal, wheat flour, rice germ meal, bran, gluten meal, soybean protein, enzyme, monosodium glutamate, garlic, vitamins and minerals including stabilized Vitamin C.                  Directions               Regularly monitor your water temperature and adjust the amount and frequency of your feedings based on the temperature, water condition, number/size of fish and their activity level. Avoid over-feeding and always remove any uneaten food remaining after the feeding period. **Q: shelf life hikari wheat germ koi food**
A: Just bought 17.6 oz Hikari Wheat Germ medium pellets in August.  Package label indicates "best before 02/2019".

**Q: What is the pellet size?**
A: The package I have lists it as "medium size".  The pellets are a little less than 1/8 inch diameter.  Hope this helps.

**Q: can i use this for my turtle**
A: Depends on the age of your turtle. This is mostly to maintain shell health and to promote healthy shedding. 
Not to be used regularly as a stable food

A: The product has min. 32% protein.  The Hikari products are a favorite of professional Koi breeders, I have Koi in my pond 17 years old that have always been fed this product and have been very healthy.
