Remember, this basket is going into a 400+ degree environment with food tumbling around for quite some time. I spray it off with a garden hose after it cools and put it in the dishwasher every so often. It's may cost a little more than others, but I've been using this basket for around 2 1/2 years and it's still performing well with no issues.
