Will this product be the best for both? Do we need an air admittance valve either/ or?** A: Provided the two holes are at the top of the septic tank and they will accommodate a pipe of a diameter specified in the product description, you should not have any problem fitting the product to one or both of the vent holes. As the Studor Maxi-Filtra is a two way vent I cannot see the need for an air admittance valve. Hope this helps. **Q: Could this be fitted horizontally, onto an existing, rectangular opening vertical pipe I wonder...?** A: I don't think it would as the unit is a round fitting. I don't know how you could make a tight seal all around it and your existing rectangular pipe **Q: Would this work on a cesspit vent pipe?** A: Yes I think it should. We fitted ours to a vent pipe on the patio with the tanks beneath and works great! **Q: Does this include the fittings for attachment to 100mm Vent pipe. Replaced old unit with this and smell disappeared. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple fix. *by A***R on 23 May 2020* It simply works, had all sorts of experts reviewing the treatment plant all suggesting expensive fixes, Β£40 later it no longer smells. I noticed on a previous poor rating commented by one person he said it allowed the smell back into his house? We had our house plumbed in incorrectly and they fitted dergoes inside. We had to have them all taken out due too letting the odours into the bathrooms, major problem. This may of been his problem as well. Hope this helps him. Great product and a cheap fix.
