What is the dimensions?

The description says "10" wide X 18"deep" but that seems really large. Is this incorrect?

Would this bag work for collecting scallops?

No it would not. It is too small and lightweight. You would be much better off using a mesh onion or cabbage bag. You could also use a burlap bag which works very well as well.
