My 5 year old son loves it. The front part rotates round when pushed along. Not battery operated. There is a part on the top that opens and the pipe at the on top can move in and out. It's quite big and the header (I think that's what the rotating bit at the front is called) spins round when lowered and driven across the carpet. Some of the small plastic bits have been pulled off but for the most part the toy is as it was when bought, which isn't bad at all.
