Simply spray on top to bottom, in horizontal motion, slowly and carefully from about 18 inches (45cm). I used masking tape on the bottom rope seal so the run off didn't soak into it. My glass was filthy and burnt on because I used some pine that wasn't totally seasoned, and nothing would shift it. I did a quick five minute spray on both sides of my double door stove, and I would say 98% was shifted no problem. This was not heavily soiled. Be careful though, it was despatched in a bubble wrap plastic bag into which the fluid had leaked. Unaware of this at first I got the liquid on my fingers and under my finger nails. Soaked thoroughly in running cold water and fortunately no lasting effect.
