Each seed variety is open-pollinated for high germination success and long-lasting viability, making it perfect for both novice and experienced gardeners looking to enhance their culinary adventures. ## Description Wild vegetables are simply edible wild plants. These so-called wild vegetables often have an intense aroma and are rich in valuable ingredients. Many of these plants can be found growing as 'weeds' in the wild, in fields and wastelands. It can be particularly successful to grow wild vegetables in the garden, because these plants often develop unexpectedly well under culture conditions. Green purslane (Portulaca oleracea) Purslane is a local plant and tastes delicious in salads, hence it has already been popular since the middle ages. The succulent, crunchy leaves have a fresh and tangy flavour and light acidity. Evening primrose (Oenothera biennis) The tubers of the evening-primrose contain starch, taste very aromatic and are very healthy. Scurvy grass (Cochlearia officinalis) Scurvy grass is rich in vitamin c and its spoon-shaped leaves have a cress like sharpness and are a delicious addition to any salad. Ramsons, Bear Garlic, Wild Garlic (Allium ursinum) Wild garlic’s natural habitat is semi-shaded forests but it also grows well in domestic gardens. Its leaves and tubers are said to have health promoting properties and it has a lovely garlicky flavour. Wild carrot, Bird’s nest, Bishop’s lace, Queen Anne’s lace (Daucus carota ssp. carota) This wild form of our common carrot develops rather skinny roots, which tend to lignify but have a wonderful intense aroma and delicate texture when harvested early. The seed bags and a detailed sowing instruction in German and English are packed in a beautiful gift box - a great and persistent gift for the garden. ## Features - 🌿 SEEDS Content: Green purslane (Portulaca oleracea), evening primrose (Oenothera biennis), scurvy grass (Cochlearia officinalis), bear garlic (Allium ursinum) and wild carrot (Daucus carota ssp. carota) - πŸ‘© SUPPORT The enclosed Magic Garden Seeds sowing-, cultivation- and care instructions describe in detail how to create the best possible conditions for the germination of your seeds and further plant growth. - 🌱 OPEN-POLLINATED VARIETIES High success rate in germination (no static hybrid seeds) the seeds of each variety are packaged separately. - πŸ‘† DURABILITY The date on the seed sachets is the date of filling, not the minimum durability date. At the time i was shocked but, i was planning to plant them out in 2023, and now worry that they might not just be out of date but, unproductive as a product. Quite disappointing as i very much like concept of offering rare edible seeds.
