Raw honey contains live enzymes, probiotics and various other micro nutrients, including pollen. For those with hay fever and related allergies, eating local raw honey can help reduce the symptoms and may make them disappear altogether!In theory, raw honey is antibiotic, although I haven't tried it for that. It does help my joints, mixed with raw cider vinegar and warm (not hot!) water, though.Basically raw honey is a health food - I use it as an ingredient in raw treats and salad dressing (honey and mustard dressing - yum!).As a sweetener in cooked food, it's a waste of time - all the micro nutrients are destroyed by heating.
