The 500 Bristol Vellum's texture is also very regular- it has more of an even, distinct pattern. The Stonehenge paper doesn't have a regular pattern, the texture is more like the texture on Strathmore's 500 Mixed Media. Also, Stonehenge has a softer surface than the 500 Bristol Vellum, so the texture flattens out a bit more when you shade on it vs. the 500 Bristol Vellum which has a firmer surface and therefore holds its texture more during shading (which makes the texture more prominent when you draw/shade on it.) **Q: Is this cold press Bristol?** A: This is a Plate surface Bristol so it would be more like a hot press than a cold. **Q: Good for pencil ?** A: Thanks for writing to us, our 500 Series Bristol Plate works well with graphite pencil, pen & ink, marker, mixed media and collage **Q: What paper do you recommend for fine detail like Zentangles using micron pens.
