One or more other people in review commented that this shell holder covered part of the safety on the Mossberg 500. I found that to be the case. But using a hacksaw and grinder, I cut a notch out in a few minutes. Also, and this has nothing to do with quality, but I chose to countersink holes the shot shell holder so the tiny bolt heads would sit lower and allow better view to an optic sight I attached to the front. I just stored the rail. Anyhow, the bolt screws threaded in very nicely. The threads were excellent and the paint on everything was good. So if folks understand the small hurdles, this seems to be a good buy for the money. PS ... the shells hold firmly in place.
