First of all, it looks delicious haha. My kids and I kept commenting that it looks good enough to eat. It's a beautiful yellow color in a nice jar, looks a bit like ghee. The texture is a bit hard, and you have to rub/warm it with your hands. It's oiler/greasier than I expected, but wow, it really works at moisturizing! I'm looking forward to experimenting with it, mixing in different things. I think this jar will last a long time. It's a good size that’ll definitely last me quite a while. It does have a scent, but I’m not sure how to describe it… I didn’t find it to be unpleasant, though. I’ve used this on both my face and body, but I will give a slight caution to others that it’s not generally recommended for your face as it can cause breakouts for some. My skin is oily and acne-prone, but it isn’t very sensitive, so it did just fine with this and didn’t cause me any breakouts.The texture is initially pretty thick and a bit clay-like, but as you rub it in, it softens up and goes on smoothly. It’s pretty greasy, so it gives the skin an oily-looking sheen. Because of that, I’ve been using it at night to give it time to properly moisturize my skin. Though the color is a very vibrant yellow, it doesn’t leave a yellow tint on my skin at all.Overall, I really like this shea butter and have found it to be pretty effective. But the color doesn’t affect how I feel about it. It is wonderful for dry skin and moisturizes so well. It is more of a solid in the container, but it melts as it is warmed by the skin. It does feel a little greasy when it goes on, so I need to give it some extra time to absorb or put it on at night.
