Having said that, one of my cats basically refuses to drink water unless it’s moving, which means she would ignore the dish of perfectly clean fresh water and would then try to knock you over any time you turned on the tap to wash your hands/dishes/etc. I have young children so wanted something that didn’t have to be plugged in all the time. This product had some good reviews and fit the bill. The motion feature works quickly enough that the cats aren’t confused waiting for it to turn on. The battery life on the base is ok. Im usually charging it about once a week or so? I wish the basin was stainless and not just the top. , but other than that I have no complaints. I also appreciate that you get two filter setups so it’s easy to switch and doesn’t render the fountain out of commission when it’s time to clean (which is also easy to do).
