Mine appears to be used so just wondering if it was a return that wasn't checked.** A: Mine came with the knife set and scissors but seemed to be new **Q: Is the basket large enough to cook a whole rib eye steak?** A: No, I don't think so. You could potentially try holding the steak in place across adjacent skewers, but that will not give very even cooking and the juices would run out. **Q: has anyone tried this out over an electric cooking range?** A: No, This is for gas ranges only. It would not work properly. **Q: I know we will need extra skewers. How long are the skewers that come with this? Any suggestions on what/where to get extras?** A: I got extra skewers at the same time I ordered the grill, both from Amazon. One thing I found out: the tips are not sharp enough, I had to struggle to skewer the pieces of meat and was afraid I might poke myself. These skewers are made to sit on the notches of the "lid" so I don't know if any others can be substituted. I don't know how long they are.
