It works very quickly. **Q: Is this silicone based product? silicone is not good to use in hot tubs or jacuzzi?** A: I don’t know, specifically but it’s a very good product at reasonable price, and I have used this for a long time. I would very much doubt it’s silicon based, as it is definitely not ‘slippery’, and dissolves cleanly into the water. My guess its not silicon base. **Q: Is this product suitable for use in the Lay-z-spa?** A: Yes **Q: Does this last for long? got a new spa last weekend. kids got in with t shirts. used defoamer that came with it but still get foam in the evening** A: It's good, but it's the t shirt making the foam. Keep the same shirt just for the spa (don't wash them) it's the washing powder or fabric conditioner making the foam, so it will keep happening. Do the same with your bathers. Make sure you shake it as if you dont it does not work (this is mentioned on the bottle).
