For added piece of mind the built in lithium re-chargeable battery has a 10 year life. He seemed very happy when fitting them and they look the part. They worked on the test so should warn us if there was a real emergency. Review: Replacement for EI 1567TL - Bought to replace EI 1567TL. Significantly cheaper then the so called replacement with a 'special' base! Easily covers previous fitting holes. May need a little paint if you've painted the ceiling after fitting the original. Simple to rewire to new base. blue to blue, brown to brown, white to white. Battery connection not needed. This is technical a replacement so why they say you have to use an electrician I have no idea... Not like I'm fitting a new circuit... Just like with like replacement in accordance with the regs.
