The curls hold amazingly in my hair. I can get about 5 days out of them if I don't use the brush and comb my hair instead (I also sleep with a silk bonnet to keep them fresher). They are easy to use but may need to be adjusted to by anyone who hasn't used tongs before. I like that I can adjust the temperature for different hair types. I used them on my nieces hair (long and thin hair) and used them on setting 16, perfect temp. For me (long, thicker hair and a lot of hair as well) and I use setting 23.
