I first purchased a month ago and noted that the price seemed to go up immediately afterwards, but it's down again to £11.32, so I was pleased about that (I'm not on Subscribe & Save).I'm sure this is the product I used to buy in the 80s from my local health food shop: it was available in tubes or in an individual "lunch pack" with a round pot of glossy pate and about 4 rough oatcakes. There was a little wooden spatula included.I am always looking for vegetarian/vegan alternatives which do not have too much garlic or "hot" spices, and this seems to be ideal. It's delicious on bread or on oakcakes. Obviously it's great on crackers or toast, but there's another way you can use it too. To make a luxuriously creamy mushroom sauce to mix through pasta, just squeeze a tube into a saucepan, add a little oat milk to thin it (depending on how thick you want your sauce), and heat while stirring for a few minutes.
