Review: Perfect - What a brilliant gadget. I believe this is one off a kind, the only one that keeps the fizz in plus does not have to be removed to pour. It pours well, no drips. In the past I've tried champagne bottle stoppers, they all seem to ping off after a day or so. Not this one. To fit it onto the bottle you do not feel like you're struggling with pressure trying to fold the levers down to anchor it onto the bottle as other styles do. You literally slide the cuff over the bottle rim. So simple and so effective. On the odd occasion I have left over fizz, it keeps it at it's intended fizzyness until I can consume the rest. Generally this is within two days, so I cannot comment how successful it is past that. Definitely my favourite and most useful purchase this year.

**Q: How does the system lock in place.  I find that the black ring at the base tends to drop off when you push the stopper over the bottle.**
A: Try lifting the chrome lever then push the unit onto the neck of the bottle. Close the lever. This should anchor the unit onto the bottle neck. The lever is then lifted to allow the flow of wine.

**Q: Does anyone know if Vacuvin guarantees this product and for how long? Mine's snapped in half after 5 years' use.**
A: No, but I doubt it would still be guaranteed for as long as 5 years. I have had mine a few years longer and it is still sound. But, it doesn’t fit all bottles and when pouring it can leak wasting the wine, so I mainly use it as a stopper.

**Q: does it fit sparkling wine bottles?**
A: Yes,designed for that purpose. Works really well & you can certainly keep an opened bottle for a couple of days With the fizz intact. Very happy with this sparkling wine keeper.

An ideal pourer and bottle re-stopper for partially consumed champagne or prosecco. We only keep a part-used bottle for around 24 hours in the fridge, for which it does the job well, so cannot comment as to how long it will keep the wine fizzy.
