It's a great starter book as the beginners section helps children learn the theory and strategy of working out what numbers go where. He did manage one of the intermediate level puzzles with a little help,then decided to carry on with the beginners section as he was confident in solving those puzzles independently. He was so proud of himself. Review: Good starter Sudoku book - This little book is great. Pocket sized, has been with us on travel and home. Book is divided up into chapters of difficulty. The starter puzzles were excellent for teaching my 6 year old how to play (and after he's in bed I do one of the puzzles towards the end of the book!). The very end chapters are adult 'hard' in difficulty so there really is a good cross section of levels on offer. She caried it with her for days to come, and tried to jump the vagon and go to more advanced level, but the book is put together in a progressive way so that the new student would evolve to that higher level with time.
