I like Opinel knives and blades, and when I saw Opinel make cooking knives, well you can guess the rest. Lovely beech wooden handles, sharp blades, extremely simple construction, good length of blade. Only slight reservation is that when you look down while you're cutting, the back of the blade looks almost exactly like the front of the blade, so hard to tell if you're holding it the right way round. Apart from that, highly recommended. ESPECIALLY if you had an Opinel penknife as a kid!
