Review: Keeps koi and orfe healthy, keeps water clear - I have fed my koi only with this food for the past 2 years, they all thrive, the youngsters are growing strong and those who are 20+ years old are full of energy and vibrant colours. Pond water is clearer and the fish seem to recover quicker from their occasional ailments e.g. lesions from insect larvae, so they seem healthy. Buying another 5kg tub now for the Summer, I've also fed small amounts of this food during milder winter months when the fish have come up to the surface asking for food, it's rated from 5 degrees and koi are usually active around 5 degrees, so no need to buy a Winter food this one is fine.

I checked the pond filter after two months and surprised to see how clean they were, almost no visible food waste on the sponges. Although the food is a bit pricey, it will save me a lot of maintenance time, effort and cost for the pond. The biggest koi in my pond is over 20 years old and requires clean water to keep it healthy. This is the exact food I need for her. The small kois in my pond are all this year’s new comers and they appeared to have grown considerably bigger in the two months. I am very pleased to have tried this food.

**Q: I require 5kg bucket, can this be supplied ?**
A: Yes if you look at our items we have for sale you will see that we currently have this on sale

**Q: what is the shelf life of 5kl if kept in bucket in shed**
A: My understanding of fish protein pellets and the fish oils in these pellets is that once opened they can go rancid after about 3 months. This is not discernible to us but is to the fish. Therefore i don't order more than about 3 months worth at a time. You can however bag them up into small bags and freeze them and they would last a year or so i would imagine.

**Q: is this better than tetra pond koi food, my koi wont anything but tetra koi ?**
A: NT Labs Probiotic is one of the best koi foods on the market, but if your koi won’t eat it, stick with the Tetra one that they like. Tetra fish food is also very good quality.

**Q: Is this any good for growth.?**
A: Good for overall fish health which leads on to growth but not a growth promotor.
